Why does a three-hour slot matter?
Most festival headliners get an hour, maybe ninety minutes, before the next act takes the stage. We Belong Here is giving Carl Cox three hours at sunset on Saturday, at Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park on the Mississippi River, with the French Quarter as the backdrop. That length turns a festival slot into something closer to the all-night sets Cox is known for in a club: room to actually build a night instead of hitting the highlights and getting off.
It is also the clearest signal of what this new market is supposed to be. We Belong Here has run editions in Miami, New York and Tampa Bay. New Orleans, running November 13 to 15, 2026, is its first stop in the city, and the festival is putting its house and techno credibility, not just its biggest name, at the center of the weekend.
What is Set De Flo bringing to the weekend?
A third stage gets a full takeover from Set De Flo, the New Orleans-born underground house and techno collective and label that DJ/producer KILOBAUUD has run since 2017, co-produced with vick trochez since 2022. KILOBAUUD, VICKTROLA, TOPAZ TEARS and CHURCHWIIG host throughout the weekend on a stage designed by local artists Kristina Kay Robinson and Mike Hazel, and more than 30 New Orleans artists perform across the three days.
"Set De Flo has always been a space for highlighting the underground and Black counterculture in New Orleans and across the South," KILOBAUUD said, framing the takeover as a platform for "the incredible underground house and techno artists in our city" and a step toward building infrastructure the South still lacks.
Why add Marshall Jefferson now?
The other new booking that matters: Marshall Jefferson, the Chicago house pioneer who produced 1986's 'Move Your Body', just joined the 360 degree main stage. It gives a young festival a direct line to house music's origin story, and it sits alongside BLOND:ISH, one of the few other names on the broader bill with real house and techno footing.
Where does New Orleans fit on We Belong Here's map?
The brand's 360 degree main stage design, its signature across Miami, New York and Tampa Bay, now plays out on the Mississippi riverfront, a setting unlike any market the festival has tried before, per EDMTunes, which first reported the full lineup on September 21, 2026.
