How did a Sunday brunch turn into a ten-year touring brand?
Brunch Electronik built its identity in Barcelona as an open-air Sunday session, mixing techno and house DJs with brunch tables, shade tents and a crowd that skewed more relaxed than a typical club night. Lisbon joined the map in 2017, when Lagoa Branca, a lakeside clearing inside the Monsanto forest park, became the brand's permanent local home; more than 250,000 people danced there across 2023 alone.
This year's tenth-anniversary programme turned that one Lisbon date into a whole season: Shimza opened it on June 20, Joseph Capriati and Nic Fanciulli followed on July 12, Sara Landry played July 25, and Adam Beyer and Miss Monique closed out August 15, two weeks before de Witte takes over. Booking a headliner with de Witte's current standing to close the anniversary run is Brunch Electronik saying its daytime format now competes for the same names as any night-time festival on the European circuit.
