Why is this specific Sunday the one that matters?

Cocoon threw its first-ever party at Amnesia on July 19, 1999. Twenty-seven years later, to the day, it's back in the same building, deliberately slotted into Amnesia's 50th-anniversary season. Sven Väth built the whole party around that coincidence rather than around it being awkward timing, headlining a lineup pulled from three different eras of Cocoon's history instead of the newer names currently rotating through the label's 528 Ibiza nights.

How long has Cocoon really been off Amnesia's dancefloor?

Less continuously than the "comeback" framing implies. Cocoon owned Amnesia's Monday nights for 18 straight seasons, 1999 to 2017, before decamping to Pacha. It returned for a full season in 2019 to mark its 20th anniversary, went quiet again, then made a single one-off appearance in May 2025 with only Väth and Richie Hawtin on the bill. Sunday is the first time since that test run that the full Cocoon machine, six DJs, two rooms, comes back to the room where it started.

"The authentic is still there. You just need to know where to look." (Amnesia's own billing for the night)

What's actually happening across the two rooms?

Amnesia is splitting the building for the occasion. The Terrace carries Väth alongside Richie Hawtin and Mateo Dufour, while the Main Room hands the night to Nina Kraviz, Len Faki and Dana Ruh, Len Faki's booking alone counting as a rare Ibiza appearance. Doors open at 22:00 and tickets start from 60 euros, with an early-access price before midnight before the tiers step up.
