What happened to the old Tito's building?
For decades, Tito's was one of Mallorca's most storied nightlife addresses, a beachfront room on Palma's Paseo Marítimo that hosted Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly, Ray Charles and Shirley Bassey. It closed in 2021 and went up for sale at an asking price of 16.5 million euros. Footwear brand Camper and the Pacha Group, owner of Pacha Ibiza, bought the site and reopened it in 2023 as Lío Mallorca, importing Lío's Ibiza-born dinner-and-cabaret format. It didn't hold: the venture was short-lived and shut down in 2026.
What is FITZ Mallorca?
FITZ Mallorca opened on July 16, 2026, run by Grupo Sounds, which already operates rooms in Madrid, its flagship market, and Marbella. The launch was a 12-hour party, from 6:30pm to 6am, with sets from PAWSA, Nic Fanciulli and Miguelle & Tons. The room holds up to 1,300 people under floor-to-ceiling windows over Palma Bay, running on an Audiotechnik sound system. The opening also kicked off FITZ's House of Artists programme, its house and techno residency season for the rest of summer 2026.
Why does the address matter more than the numbers?
Three operators, three different bets, one building, five years: a heritage glamour club, an imported dinner-and-spectacle format, and now a room built around DJs and a real sound system.
"Mallorca chose us. The same thing has happened on this island." Alberto Hidalgo, CEO of Grupo Sounds
Hidalgo tied the move partly to the Paseo Marítimo's ongoing remodelling, which he said created the chance to secure "an iconic venue" on the strip. Whether FITZ can hold a 1,300-capacity room on programming alone, right after a luxury cabaret concept failed in the same four walls, is the real test through the rest of the season.
