FVTVR opened in 2024 in a raw concrete room beneath the Cite de la Mode et du Design on the Seine, at 34 Quai d'Austerlitz in Paris's 13th arrondissement, built around an L-Acoustics rig and lighting designed by Matiere Noire for sets that run long past dawn. Three years in, the club is no longer just booking nights. It is pressing them.

Why would a three-year-old club start pressing vinyl?

A club's income is mostly one thing: people walking through the door on a given night. A label is a different asset. It is music the club owns, can sell independently of any single party, and can point to as proof of a scene rather than a single evening's door count. For a venue that has built its identity on uninterrupted, marathon-length programming, a label is also a way to keep that identity alive between parties, something that exists on a shelf or a streaming page long after the sound system has been switched off. FVTVR-001 is the club's first release under its own name, ever.

What's actually on FVTVR-001?

Eight tracks, one from each artist, pressed to double vinyl: Ignez's "Blue Depth," Tauceti's "Djanet," Rebecca Delle Piane's "Salina Turda," Kian Gast's "Orphic," Mathys Lenne's "Dan," Steve Bicknell's "Dissipative Structures," Adriana Lopez's "Distorted Reflection" and Louis The 4th's "The Untold." The label describes the selection as spanning generations, pairing techno pioneers such as Steve Bicknell with artists who regularly play the club's own nights. The sleeve is by Harry Nuriev, the Crosby Studios founder known for interiors as much as graphic work, and FVTVR says each future release will come with its own commissioned artist and a linked capsule collection, not just a label catalogue number.

"We see the label as the soundtrack to the nights at the club, documented release after release through artists who live and work here."

That is artistic director Emmanuel Gunther, framing FVTVR-001 less as a compilation than as a first entry in an ongoing record of the club's own residents.

What happens on launch night?

FVTVR marks the label with a 15-hour session, 9pm Friday 13 November through noon Saturday 14 November, with six of the eight artists from the record on the lineup: Kian Gast, Tauceti, Mathys Lenne, Rebecca Delle Piane, Steve Bicknell and Ignez. The first audio excerpts from FVTVR-001 go out 12 November, the day before the party, with the full double vinyl shipping mid-January 2027.
