What exactly is RA25?
Resident Advisor turns 25 in 2026, and the platform announced on July 27 that it's marking the milestone with a project called RA25: a ten-city world tour, a limited-edition book, a merchandise run and an archival editorial series revisiting a quarter-century of coverage. The tour opens September 25, 2026, in London, then moves through nine more cities across five continents before wrapping in December back at what RA is calling its first home, a clear nod to where the platform was born.
Resident Advisor hasn't said yet which cities, clubs or artists are involved. Those details, along with the book's contributor list, are promised in the coming weeks.
Why does a listings site throwing ten parties actually matter?
For most of its history, RA's job was to tell you where to go, not to be the destination. Its listings, reviews and long-form features became the reference point an entire generation of promoters, agents and dancers checked before trusting a flyer. Turning that authority into a physical, ten-city tour is RA betting that its editorial credibility travels as well live as it does on the page, at a moment when plenty of outlets in this scene are shrinking, not expanding into events.
What's actually in the book?
Front Left: 25 Years of Electronic Music From the Future is being published through Velocity Press later in 2026. It's billed as an anthology pulling together RA journalism into what the site calls a snapshot of the communities, ideas and sounds that have shaped scenes and generations since the site launched. Alongside the book, RA is also opening up its own archive with a dedicated editorial project revisiting old coverage, though it hasn't detailed the format yet.
