How big is this tour actually?

Sven Väth announced his T.R.A.N.C.E. Winter Tour on October 26, 2026, and it is not a victory lap. More than 20 dates run from October 23 through December 31, stretching from Vienna and Zurich at the open to a New Year's Eve all-nighter in Tokyo at the close. In between: Costa Rica on October 30, Medellín the next night, an ambient Harmony set in Amsterdam on November 18, and the weekend that actually matters for the global scene, November 20 and 21, when Sven Väth plays Time Warp's Mexico City debut on the Friday and Time Warp New York on the Saturday. Sixty years old, two countries, one weekend.

Why does Mexico City change the map for Time Warp?

Time Warp has spent three decades proving a point that started in a Mannheim warehouse in 1994: that a festival can run on sound system and lighting investment alone, no gimmicks, no stage theatrics, just a dancefloor built to swallow a room whole. It took that formula to New York, Miami, São Paulo and Madrid over the years. Mexico City, at Expo Santa Fe on November 20 and 21, is the first time it has set foot in Mexico, and the booking makes the stakes plain. Friday is the institution flexing its oldest muscle: Väth, Maceo Plex, Ben Klock and The Blessed Madonna, straight-up techno lineage. Saturday pivots, Reinier Zonneveld, DJ Tennis, Seth Troxler and Anfisa Letyaga pulling the night toward tech house and whatever falls between the cracks. Both nights run 17:00 to 02:00, eighteen and over only, the same long-set, no-interruption format that built the brand in Germany.

Time Warp built its reputation on uncompromising sound and a dancefloor-first booking philosophy. Mexico City is the test of whether that travels.

What else is worth watching on the calendar?

The tour's edges tell their own story. Väth opens in Vienna on October 23 and Zurich the next day before the Latin American swing through Costa Rica and Medellín. The Amsterdam date on November 18 is billed as Harmony, an ambient set, a deliberate change of register two days before the Mexico City techno set. And the whole run closes on December 31 in Tokyo with an all-night set carrying the tour straight into 2027.
