Why does Gordo's booking matter more than Maceo Plex's?
Maceo Plex is not a surprise pick. He has spent two decades inside minimal and techno's serious rooms, from Ibiza's Hi residencies to Printworks London, and putting him on Galaxy is simply UNTOLD paying for an established name. Gordo is the interesting bet. He built his career as Carnage, a trap and mainstage-EDM producer with festival-circuit records and a catalogue close to Steve Aoki's, before rebranding under Solotoko into a house and tech-house artist chasing the credibility that name never had. Booking him for Galaxy rather than the main stage is UNTOLD backing that pivot, betting its own underground-facing room on an artist still proving he belongs there. Romania already has a real house and techno lineage, from Sunwaves to the Bucharest and Cluj club circuits that regularly draw Villalobos, Raresh and the wider minimal crowd.
