Who exactly is behind Eerie Enterprise?

Eerie Enterprise pairs upsammy, the alias of Dutch producer Thessa Torsing, with Piezo, the Italian producer Luca Mucci. The two didn't set out to make a joint album. They spent two days together at a hardware-focused studio session in July 2024 with no real plan beyond seeing what happened. What came out of it kept getting worked on for more than a year, and it has now become a nine-track debut LP, "Places Remember Events", due October 30, 2026 on Dekmantel Records.

Why would two sharp, modern producers chase a nostalgic sound?

That's the interesting part. upsammy built her name on restless, texturally dense productions that move between ambient, techno and IDM without settling anywhere for long; she recently paired with drummer Valentina Magaletti on "Seismo". Piezo comes out of tightly wound club techno and just wrapped a run as one third of PPP, alongside DJ Plead and DJ Python. Neither is short on edge. As Eerie Enterprise, they've pointed that same sound-design instinct somewhere softer: elegant, angular electronica built on melody first, chasing what they describe as the warm glow of golden-era electronic music, music meant to soothe rather than shock. The title track, also the album's lead single, is already streaming on Bandcamp.

What does this mean for Dekmantel?

Dekmantel Records rarely hands its mainline catalogue to unproven pairings, so putting a joint debut there is a real statement of trust in both artists. It's Piezo's first release on the label proper, and upsammy's first full album for Dekmantel since 2020's "Zoom". Eerie Enterprise has already tested the material live, debuting at Dekmantel Festival and SOUNDIT this summer and playing WOS Festival in Santiago de Compostela on September 11. A Backslash Festival date in Zurich follows on October 2.
