Long before house or techno had a name, Clara Rockmore, Bebe Barron, Daphne Oram, Delia Derbyshire, Wendy Carlos, Suzanne Ciani, Éliane Radigue and Laurie Spiegel built the instruments, the studios and the language electronic music still runs on, and two of the biggest, Forbidden Planet's score and the Doctor Who theme, were denied a proper credit at the time.
