Most Independent Musicians Made Less Than $1,000 Last Year. Most Still Can't Afford to Tour.
A new Ditto Music survey of more than 5,000 independent musicians across 112 countries found 74% earned under $1,000 from music last year, and 82% say they can't afford touring costs even though live shows are their most critical income source.
