What actually happens when you hit it?

Feed Tessera a drum hit, a vocal chop, a guitar pluck, anything with a transient, and it excites twelve parallel resonator voices, each pitched to a note of a chord or scale you set. The snare comes back as a chord ringing through the room. Hold a pad note into it and the sustain gets colored into something that keeps shifting instead of sitting flat. Audio Damage isn't generating pitch from nothing here: your input is the spark, the resonator bank is the instrument that answers it.

Why eleven different resonator models?

Each model imitates the physics of a real object rather than just applying a generic filter. There's a plucked Karplus-Strong string, a bowed waveguide string, and nine banded-waveguide bodies tuned to behave like bars, glass, bells, bowls, membranes, plates and tubes. Switching models changes the physical character of the response, not just its color: a plucked string decays differently than a struck bowl, and a bowed string sustains in a way a bell never will. Root note and scale selection then decides which pitches those twelve voices actually land on, from simple triads to full chromatic voicings.

Who decides which voice fires when?

That's the job of five motion engines. Contour spreads the voices into shaped, arpeggiated waves. SEQ locks individual voices to steps in a pattern. Strum picks across the chord the way a guitarist would. Arp cycles through the voices one at a time. Swarm lets them drift around a moving center instead of following a fixed pattern. Decay, damping, brightness and spread controls shape the tail on top, the whole thing syncs to tempo, and it supports MTS-ESP for anyone working in microtonal tunings.

Who is this actually for?

Producers building pads and plucks out of one-shots instead of digging through sample packs, sound designers who want an instrument that reacts to what they feed it, anyone working the deep and organic end of house where a texture needs to keep moving without repeating. At an introductory EUR 34.95 (EUR 49 once that window closes), running on macOS, Windows and Linux as VST, VST3, AU, CLAP, LV2 and AAX, with an iOS AUv3 version coming, it's a cheap way to get a physically modeled instrument out of a bounced drum bus.
