Nicole Moudaber spent ADE week doing two very different things at once. One was routine: another entry in her ongoing Apple Music Mixes series, a pure-techno set built for the platform's catalog. The other was not: a two-track house EP on her own label that turned into a story about where she's from, not just what she plays.
What's actually in "Nicole Moudaber 003"?
The mix went up on Apple Music on October 23, 2026: 14 tracks, 1 hour, 1 minute and 36 seconds, techno from end to end. Per 1001Tracklists, it's a rebroadcast of her In the MOOD 643 set, recorded live at Ritter Butzke in Berlin on August 15, 2026, pulling from Pan-Pot, Frank Biazzi and R.M.K., with tracks sourced from Tronic, CLR Records and Second State Audio, the labels that built her reputation as one of techno's most relentless peak-time DJs. It's the third entry in the exclusive series Apple Music has run with her since 2022.
Why did she release a house record the same week?
Three days before the mix, on October 20, Moudaber put out "She Loves My Music / Think About You" (MC018) on MoodCollective, her own imprint. Per EDMTunes, it's a deliberate step away from the festival-techno sound she's known for: groove-driven house and tech-house, built around rhythm and a dancefloor-first vocal hook rather than peak-time pressure. MoodCollective has quietly become the outlet for that side of her catalog, the releases that don't fit the In the MOOD brand.
Why does the POSITIVV connection matter?
"She Loves My Music" features POSITIVV, a Nigerian artist from Ibadan. Moudaber says she picked his vocal take before she knew where he was from.
"When I found out he was from Ibadan, the city where I was born... it felt like a sign."
She was born in Nigeria before her family moved to Lebanon, and she's talked for years about wanting to work with Nigerian artists without forcing it. "I've always wanted to connect with Nigeria through my music, but I was waiting for it to happen in the right way," she told EDMTunes. For an artist whose whole public identity runs through European techno festivals, that's the record actually worth paying attention to this week, not the mix.
